Come enjoy a one of a kind, special release Pale Wheat Honey Ale made with 80 lbs of local, wildflower honey donated by the members of the Jefferson County Beekeepers Association
This Cahaba small batch was made to support Auburn University’s Insect Pollination and Apiculture Laboratory and the amazing work they are doing for our honeybees.
In addition to the special release beer, the JCBA is hosting a BEE MARKET! Come get local honey from beekeepers all over Jefferson County. There will be wildflower honey, lemon infused honey, cinnamon spun honey, dark honey, light honey, etc! Some of the other things happening at the Bee Market:
- There will be an oberservation hive set up by Foxhound Bee Company to let you see the inside of an actual working honeybee colony, and Auburn's Apiculture Lab is bringing a drone petting zoo! (Don't worry... drones don't have stingers)
- Turkey Creek Nature Preserve is going to have pollinator plants from their greenhouse on site so you can start your Spring planting with honeybee friendly flowers.
- And Beehive Baking Company will also be on hand with some deliscious goodies freshly baked with local honey!
We asking for a $5 donation to get into the Bee Market, and 100% goes to our charity.
Please come and bring your friends and family. It will be a great way to kick off Spring and raise a little money for our friend, the honeybee.
